Chester Station to The Boat Museum, Ellesmere Port

Hello, this is Barry. A D ride from Chester railway station to The Boat Museum, Ellesmere Port, setting off at 10:30.

After leaving the station we go down the hill to the river, weave our way along the Groves, out along the river around the Racecourse, through the apartment blocks and along the River Dee for a few miles. Then onto the Greenway for a few more miles, leaving it at Newton Fields. Over the A41, bypassing the Zoo, then Stoak and Cheshire Oaks, working our way to the canal and The Boat Museum. Most of us know the Museum, which serves good food for lunch.

After lunch I intend to ride back towards Eastham via North Road, and riders can peel off as they wish for their own way home. A couple of hills but mostly flat, and a couple of railway stations on the route if you need them. About 23 miles to the museum, then whatever it is to get you home.
