About this ride

A 35 mile Grade C ride with a few hills (1,200 ft of climbing), averaging about 11 mph. David Brewer is the ride leader. Please arrive by 09:45 for the safety briefing and bike checks.

The route is the old railway path to Eastham, with a short stop at St Mary's Eastham to see the 1,600 year old yew tree. Then Eastham Rake, Thornton Hough and the Runnel to Parkgate for a banana stop. Up the hill to Neston Church Lane, past Nets and onto Burton Marsh, then the Dragon Bridge and up the cycle lanes to Foxes.

A table is booked at Foxes cafe. They serve excellent food and the staff are very efficient and pleasant.

The return is up the hill and left to Capenhurst, then the Missing Link, Benty Heath, Hargrave Lane, Raby Mere, the big hill past Leighton Hall, Spital, the railway path and back to Port Sunlight.

The route is on Garmin Connect (link on the map above).
