About this ride

Pier Head to Croxteth Park via Calderstones
Meet at the Pier Head, Liverpool in front of the ferry terminal building; toilets and coffee available if you get there a bit earlier, but aim to arrive no later than 10.15am (nearest Merseyrail station is James Street) for a pre-ride briefing and a 10.30 am departure. We will proceed along the Albert Dock following the river out towards Sefton Park and up Lark Lane, with a toilet and banana break at Calderstones Park, then proceed on to Croxteth Park for the lunch stop; that’s about 16 miles. Bring a picnic/flask, or you can purchase a limited choice of food from the cafe or takeaway vans. After lunch it’s 10 miles back to the Pier Head via Stanley Park and Everton Brow

The ride will be at a D pace approximately 9/10 miles per hour and there are only a couple of small inclines, relatively flat so nothing too challenging.
